Tucson’s Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and an Eclipse of the Moon!

Tucson’s Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and an Eclipse of the Moon!

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is focused on the preservation of the Sonoran Desert, and will turn your idea of a museum inside out. Instead of walking within a building looking at man made replicas a person visiting here will experience a quintessential Sonoran Desert experience which includes: a desert zoo, botanical garden and the natural history of the Sonora Desert via the 21 acres of natural displays and two miles of walking trails. Highlights include the hummingbird aviary, Warden Aquarium and Earth Sciences Center where guests descend into a replica limestone cave. Enjoy live animal presentations that showcase a variety of desert animals and be sure not to miss Raptor Free Flight (seasonal) where native birds of prey fly so close you can feel the brush of feathers!  This is an outdoor museum experience that gave us a new appreciation if the beauty of the desert!  Please enjoy the beauty and sights!!

I know the eclipse of the moon is not as big a deal as the total eclipse of the sun was back in August of 2017 but it sure is beautiful!

More coming soon 😊
