Windsor Ruins
I bet your thinking ‘gosh, when did they go to England’? We didn’t!
The Windsor Ruins are right here in America, just a short drive out side
of Natchez Mississippi. Windsor was
built in 1861, survived the Civil War only to be destroyed by fire in
1890. The ruins consist of 23 standing Corinthian columns of the largest antebellum Greek Revival mansion ever built in the state. The family donated the ruins to
Mississippi in 1974.
